  This Page is dedicated to the memory of Dr.Edgar (Ted) Codd
 
Ted Codd, the 'Father of the Relational Database', died on April 18th.2003, in Williams Island,Florida.
We all owe him a tremendous debt for opening up a very interesting and challenging area of work.

In 1970, he published his ground-breaking paper, entitled 'A Relational Model of Data for Large Shared Data Banks'.
