DataBase - HITB Reset Tool missing

I have verified that the HITB dictionary is in the set file and can print the
report, but it does not balance so I need to run the reset tool. However, it
is not in inventory utilties. I have tried sa and my user (which is setup as
POWERUSER). I have tried to manually add the window, but it is not listed in
any product, in any module.

Where is it??

If you have the tool installed, you should locate the form under the
following path:

Reset Tool"

But since you cannot find it there then you might need to reinstall the tool
by removing the tool dictionaries from Dynamics.set and decrease the
dictionaries count in the first line then replace the cnk file.

Hope that helps.

I hav completely uinstalled and reinstalled my workstation. Still no tool.
I have tried 2 other workstations and our server. No tool found.

How do you replace the cnk files? I thought these were removed in version
10.

I just created a new power user and verified that there are no records in the
sy10000 table (therefore no restrictions) and still have no tool. This is
not a 3rd party product that I can select when installing.

I REALLY need to run this tool. Where is it!!???????

I replied on your other note not knowing it was already a duplicate.

anyway, do you have GP 10.0 Service Pack 2 or later?

I did not encounter any problems when I run the chunk file just this morning.
I am using SP4.

If you create a new company on Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 2 or
later versions or complete the IV reset process on an existing company, the
HITB report will be available in the Inventory Activity reports without the
need to run the tool.

However, upon loading GP and after placing the chunk file in the location,
did you prompted to include new dictionaries? if you did not then the tool was
not properly installed.

If you still have this error, I would install a new copy of Dynamics GP,
redownload the tool and perform my tests again, it might be something in
between.

Hi

Per your post, you suggested that if the HITB tool is not acting correctly, then the cnk file can be uninstalled by updating the dynamics.set file.

What is the correct process for doing that?
