Setting up Report Server URL
Asked By Ymay

Hello,
I had configured the SRS and managed to view the reporsts provided by
the standards system via the site created.
I wanted to now setup the Report Server URL in the Reporting Tools
Setup so that reports can be viewed from Administration tab > Custom
Reports.
I typed in the Report Server URL but it keeps prompting [The Report
Server URL entered is not valid]. I had typed in the following >>
http://GPSERVER:80/ReportServer/reportservice.asmx. I also tried
removing :80 but still it does not work.
I launched REporting Service Configuration Manager to check on the
Report Server URL and is shown the same http://GPSERVER:80/ReportServer
Any areas I should look at the correct this problem?
Help is greatly appreciated.

If you are on SQL Server 2005, the URL should be
http://ServerName:PortNumber/reportserver/reportservice.asmx. However, if
your server happens to be a SQL Server 2008 server, the URL should be
http://ServerName:PortNumber/reportserver/reportservice2005.asmx
Best regards,

I cannot find anything am not sure, but I doubt Access 2007 can control SQL 2008. Access has never worked with SQL versions that came out later than the Access version. You could: 1.
